9 apartments reserved in a month at Renaissance Retirement Christchurch development

The best sales month in Renaissance Retirement's long history has resulted in nine reservations at its Fleur-de-Lis development in Christchurch.

That takes the development just off the high street to over 60 per cent sold and the company now has only 10 units left. Development director at Renaissance Retirement Nick Watkins puts the success down to a number of factors.

Nick said: "It's a great time of year to buy – people are looking to move in before Christmas which is very possible. But I think it's also a combination of a great location, stunning development and some great deals we are now doing. It's been a great team effort."

Over 80 per cent of the apartments have been sold to local people living in or near Christchurch. There are a number of factors for owners: downsizing with added security, ease of living and family living locally being the main reasons for buying.

Having noticed an increase in demand for luxury retirement housing, Renaissance design, build and manage top end retirement developments, with communal areas of the sites meticulously cleaned and maintained to ensure a level of comfort that one would expect in a 4 star hotel.

Renaissance built the first retirement development at HRH Prince of Wales' Poundbury development in Dorchester, which was very well received and is synonymous with a quality build.
