Construction to start soon as luxury Retirement Development Approved on former Magistrates’ Court in Haywards Heath

Renaissance Retirement is starting construction on another prime site in the next few months after securing planning consent in Haywards Heath.

The 36 luxury apartments, which will be known as Fleur de Lis Haywards Heath, will be built on the site of the former Magistrates Court on Bolnore Road.  Parts of the building’s design were inspired by Charles Voysey the famous English architect and designer who pioneered  the ‘Arts & Crafts’  look.

The luxurious properties will provide an exceptional standard of independent living for those considering downsizing from a larger family home.

Renaissance Retirement has a distinguished history; the company was handpicked by HRH Prince of Wales to build a landmark collection of retirement apartments in the heart of Poundbury, Dorchester.

The company is already selling apartments fast at its site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, and is currently building new developments across the South of England, including Paignton, Christchurch, Romsey, Wareham and Hartley Wintney.

The spacious one and two bedroom apartments will be impeccably finished with contemporary interiors, whilst owners will also have access to a sumptuous owners' lounge, hobbies room and guest suite, which will be available to visiting friends and relatives. Some of the apartments will also feature stylish mezzanine levels.

It is anticipated that the build in Haywards Heath will start in November 2014, with a show home available to view in the Spring of 2015.

Nick continued: “Research estimates over £400 billion of housing wealth is tied up in properties where owners desperately wish to downsize. Renaissance’s luxurious retirement developments such as Fleur de Lis Haywards Heath therefore offer an ideal opportunity for those people approaching their later years who aspire to downsize.”

Robert Taylor, Managing Director, said: “This is great news for Renaissance Retirement and people in Haywards Heath looking to downsize. We are already receiving huge interest into this great development. I’d like to thank our planners Tanner & Tilley and Aspire Architects, as well as the council for approving such an exciting scheme that meets the living needs of local people.”

Located five minutes’ walk from the centre of town, Fleur de Lis Haywards Heath benefits from a wealth of leisure facilities, parks and open spaces and the seaside resort of Brighton is only a short journey away.

Noticing a demand for luxury retirement housing, Renaissance Retirement design, build and manage luxury retirement developments, with communal areas meticulously cleaned and maintained to ensure a level of comfort that one would expect in a 4 star hotel.

The company offers a number of added owner incentives and benefits, and Renaissance’s complementary SmoothMove Service – which is offered to all owners at no extra cost – has proven particularly popular. This bespoke service includes a dedicated SmoothMove Consultant, who can offer advice and assistance with downsizing, the planning and setting up of their new home, and administrative tasks.
