Construction to start soon on 23 Luxury Retirement Apartments in Hartley Wintney

Hampshire-based Renaissance Retirement is to soon start construction on a prestigious development of retirement apartments on the former office site at Dairy Walk.

Renaissance has been granted planning permission to build 23 apartments.

The development, to be called Fleur de Lis Hartley Wintney, will comprise of spacious one and two bedroom apartments and will include top of the range appliances and design features together with a sumptuous owners’ lounge and guest suite. The company will also announce a tie up with a top rated hotel in the area for owners to use as part of the package.

The development will also provide an opportunity to replace an existing hard standing area with attractive gardens around the building. These landscaped gardens will provide surrounding seating areas for the residents to enjoy, as well as an attractive outlook for the building.

The development boasts an excellent location, offering direct pedestrian access to the High Street, and is a short walk from local shops, the post office, restaurants, pubs and a doctor’s surgery, as well benefits from good access to public transport.

Nick Watkins, Development Director at Renaissance Retirement, comments: “We have secured planning on a flagship site in a desirable location in the sought after town of Hartley Wintney. Our proposed development will  offer unrivalled luxury for people looking to retire in the area.  We are already experiencing a high level of interest from local residents, and we would encourage people to register their interest for more information when we release it.”

Tackling the shortage of luxury retirement housing in the south, Renaissance design, build and manage luxury retirement developments, with communal areas meticulously cleaned and maintained to ensure a level of comfort that one would expect in a 4 star hotel.

The company offers a number of added owner incentives and benefits, and Renaissance’s complementary SmoothMove Service – which is offered to all owners at no extra cost – has proven particularly popular. This bespoke service includes a dedicated SmoothMove Consultant, who can offer advice and assistance with downsizing, the planning and setting up of their new home, and administrative tasks.

Renaissance has made its name in the south of England, initially at Poundbury, and most recently in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. There are exciting plans for new developments under way all over the South including sites in Christchurch, Romsey, Wareham and Paignton to name a few.

Renaissance’s heritage dates back to the first retirement apartments at HRH Prince of Wales’ flagship Poundbury development in Dorchester, and the apartments in Hartley Wintney will provide luxurious living spaces ideally suited for downsizers looking to maintain a quality standard of independent living.
