Renaissance Retirement aims to raise £200,000 to celebrate 20 years in business with local charity tie up

One of the fastest growing companies in the region, Renaissance Retirement, has selected Naomi House as its chosen charity to help the company celebrate its 20 years in business this year.

The Ringwood-based property developer is aiming to raise over £200,000 in 2017 through a number of fundraising initiatives at its developments in the south.

Founder and managing director, Robert Taylor, has marked the company's 20th anniversary with its staff at its Ringwood headquarters.

The business started in 1997 with its first development being built at Prince Charles' Pounbury site. The company has seen rapid growth over the last two years trebling its team to over 40 staff. The company is now selling luxury retirement apartments all over the south of England including Romsey, Christchurch, Wareham, Poole, Winchester, Wimborne, and Hartley Wintney.

The company which turned over £6m of sales in 2015 hit the £30m mark in 2016. Its target for 2017 is £60m.

"I'm delighted to be able to raise money for Naomi House during our anniversary year. It's a fantastic charity and we'll do our best to raise as much as possible.

"I started Renaissance Retirement 20 years ago with a very small team and steadily built it up to what is now the fastest growing, privately owned specialist retirement developer in the UK.

Renaissance now has plans for over 600 units in the next few years on the back of a further 11 new sites in the south of England including Lymington, Milford-on-sea, Winchester, Fleet, Yateley, Arundel and Haslemere.
