Romsey members ‘bowled over’ by Renaissance Retirement’s sponsorship

Members of the Romsey Bowling Club were literally bowled over this week after securing a new local sponsor.

Ringwood based Renaissance Retirement has helped pay for a major refurbishment project at the club.

Renaissance Retirement is hoping the awareness of sponsoring the renowned bowling club will help raise the profile of its own development in Romsey. The company is building 52 luxury one and two bed apartments called Fleur-de-Lis on Duttons Road.

Marketing Director at Renaissance Retirement, Chris Wotton, said: "We are delighted we could support Romsey Bowling Club.

"As a local, I'm even more excited by the prospect as it will give me a chance to play in the summer!

"I'm sure the relationship will go from strength to strength. Renaissance has always felt it very important to be part of its local community, put something back and offer support where it can."

Chris added: "We are building a very exciting, top-end development which has a superb location, high-end specification and design features such as mezzanine floors. Judging by the interest so far we are anticipating that the apartments will sell well when we launch in the early summer."

Eileen Scovell, Secretary of the Romsey Bowling Club committee said: "We are confident that this exciting new partnership with Renaissance Retirement will be mutually beneficial."

Eileen added: "It's fantastic that a local company like Renaissance has come forward and decided to support our bowling club. We can't thank them enough and look forward to working with them."

The grand opening is scheduled for July this year.
